What is GST?

General Skill Test

The GST (General Skill Test) is the practical flight test a student passes with an examiner to qualify for a licence such as the PPL.

The General Skill Test is the final practical examination for a licence, flown with an authorised examiner. It assesses general handling, navigation, instrument appreciation and emergency handling against the required standard.

Passing the GST, along with the written exams and other requirements, leads to the issue of the licence.
